The greatest lesson in life might be pieced together by little wonders scattered about through life.
A man who has not embarked on this journey of discovery becomes like the proverbial misled donkey. Here is the gist. A farmer who could not have his donkey go anywhere tied a carrot to a rope and held inches away from the mouth of the donkey. Then he saddled on and let the rope and carrot falsely lead him to his destination. This trick is a common trick life has used on majority mankind to push them to a destination where all was given for nothing or a little. All the energy he has used up his life become vanity, because he followed the carrot to where the mind of life would lead him, not where his soul would crave to go. But this is a little different for those who have made a diligent search for the little wonders of life.
Look where you stand and project the pursuits of life all around. Is it all a matter of your gains or pleasure, or there is a reason beckoning to you out there? Your answer to this question unveils to you if you are the proverbial donkey or a man in search of meaning. Nothing drives our live more than the lure of our desires. For some it is vain things made of fame, power and riches. For others it is the meaning found in truth, of man, of universe and of the future. Because life understands the way we think very well it deals with us according to our desires. Sometimes you may realise how far you have gone to acquire the things desired before realising the futility of the path set out. But no matter how much life is left of you, it is never too late to veer off the path of futility to the life of fruitfulness.
So think! Is it about you or the answer is out there? Is there something bigger than our personal accomplishments through fame, power, and riches? First of all, the chances of your existence is bigger than you. The manipulations are beyond the computations of mere chance, beyond the wisdom of nature and the precision of science. This realisation makes you know that you owe to something more, something bigger something powerful. But if this least convince you, then calculate the chances of the earth able to support life? We would have lost count of figures if we begin to juxtapose the probability of how the earth has the element to support life, the position in the solar system, the galaxy and the universe. Surely indeed there is an intelligence that fine tuned all these many great odds just so that your life came to be and exist. So, should your life still be about you or the answer is out there?
Look again where you stand and compare yourself to all the forces of nature. How insignificant the man really is? Can he halt the waves of the sea? Can he plough the mountains? Can he harvest the sun? Can he discover the mysteries of the deep? But because of him the sea will not deny its place and encroach on the dwelling place of the man. The mountains will not grow over where the man stands and rain stones on him. The sun will not burst in anger or shrink in disgust for it is never too hot or too cold. Yes, all these things have been set to your dominion. There is someone indeed who has set all these bars for you. So, is it still about you or the answer is out there?
You do not see one color, do you? But one color is enough for sight. You do not eat only one food, do you? But one food is enough to be fed. You do not say one word, do you? But one word could do to communicate. The artistic beauty and revelations in colors, the euphoria and delight from taste and the rich quality of communication are not chance, are they? They have been put in place just for you. The complexity of these little wonders are beyond the wisdom and comprehension of mortal men. But they all exist, just for you.
Why does love matter? Why does hate speak to you? Why do you seek justice? Why does violation enrage you? What faith do you have in hope? What despair do you have in failure. Why do you concern with the righteous having power. Why do you delight in the disgrace of the wicked? Why do we pay for wisdom? Why do we disdain the fool? Why do we shy from the shame of ignorance? The diversity of the things that makes us human are endless. Did chance give us the combinations to find pleasure in good and displeasure in bad? Yet, they are all a design beyond anything existing here on earth. Does it matter to seek then if it is truth that we are made in the image of someone? Is it still about us or the answer is out there.
By now, you should believe the answer is out there. If your heart is still hardened seek more of the little wonders and light and meaning shall be revealed unto to you. These little wonders draws us closer to universal truth and consequences. Observe nature and let its tale be the biography of a loving creator. Observe your image and see them handed to you to exploit all the delight in life from an absolute sovereignty. We are here, not by our designs and yet we fail to seek why? We may rather chose to chase carrot and may alter the course of true meaning. But it will not change the consequences of the end of all the paths of men which is,
And there is not a creation that is hidden from his sight, but all things are naked and openly exposed to the eyes of the one to whom we must give an account.
So, lets choose our course with this consequence in mind. For the way to the right part begins with this little wonders.
